(More customer reviews)I own this same guitar. It's the best guitar I've ever played. The pickups are incredible. Combined with a volume knob that pushes in for different combinations, this guitar can play ten different sounds. Whether you're after a light, airy electric folk sound or a grinding, overdriven grunge sound, this guitar can do it. The fit and finish on mine were perfect out of the box. It's one of the prettiest guitars I've ever seen. I haven't found a blemish on it anywhere.
The set-up was perfect for me out of the box as well. The frets are extremely smooth and comfortable to play for extended periods. It's a beautiful guitar with an incredible sound. Mine came with a very nice case and factory snap locks for the strap. It's a guitar player's guitar. Like any other Strat, the neck is small. I have small hands, but if you have large hands, you might prefer another guitar. For the price, I don't think there's a better guitar made. This is clearly an elite guitar for a low end price on some of the other top end guitars. It's as good as Strats get. The price on this guitar is probably $100 lower than I paid for mine, so combined with the free shipping, it's not a bad deal.
I have no complaints at all about my American Deluxe Strat. The first time I played it at the house, my wife said,"I didn't know you could play guitar that good!" This is after twenty years of listening to me play.
Any guitar that immediately makes you a better player is all right in my book. I recommend the American Deluxe Strat, and I can vouch for the 3-tone sunburst. It's beautiful.
