(More customer reviews)Fantastic guitar: beatiful finish and very good sound. The original strings are a little hard for beginners, but the action is perfect. I put some Daddario EJ40, silk+teel, gauge .011, and the guitar is now perfect for my taste. I will try some other strings. The .010 gauge are too soft for this guitar. Possibly in the near future I will return to the original Daddario .012.
The guitar is a steal.The price of the preamp exceeds what I paid for this excellent purchase. $240 at Amazon plus $90 for the hard case. I think you an get the silver one for somethng less. By the way, the preamp records and plays mp3 files. It has internal memory and a USB input.
If you like a semihollow Ovation lyrachord guitar go ahead and buy it. IMHO, besides a great sound, the main advantage of this design is that it does not hurt your ribs and it does not get scratched in the bottom.
