Gibson luthiers long dreamed of producing a semi-hollow with solid back, sides, and center block carved from a single piece of mahogany. While that dream was realized with the CS-336, the Custom Shop felt there was still room for improvement and now introduces the CS-356, a guitar with superior tonality and comfort and an extended array of upscale appointments. Upgrades include a AAA figured, book-matched maple top; 22-fret ebony fingerboard; pearl block inlays; and stopbar tailpiece. There's much more to this gem of an instrument.
